Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Expert

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Expert will support UNDP’s Peace Support Facility in Ethiopia, strengthening monitoring, evaluation, learning and evidence‑based decision‑making across programme locations in Northern Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of the PSF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan.
• Maintain and enhance the PSF ArcGIS platform, including dashboards, maps and spatial data layers.
• Design, manage and improve Kobo Collect tools and other digital data collection systems.
• Maintain programme databases, ensuring secure and accurate data management.
• Develop and update Power BI dashboards and other visualisation tools for real‑time monitoring.
• Lead bi‑annual impact assessments, covering survey design, sampling, enumerator training, quality assurance and data analysis.
• Conduct joint monitoring missions with government counterparts to verify outputs and outcomes.
• Analyse programme data against results frameworks, Theory of Change, Integrated Woreda Action Plans and donor commitments.
• Monitor programme risks, partner performance and efficiency indicators, ensuring gender‑ and age‑disaggregated reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual programme reports integrating narrative, financial and results information.
• Document lessons learned, good practices and success stories and facilitate learning events.
