About the role

The Partnership & Education Project Coordinator leads the planning, implementation, coordination and quality assurance of PlayMatters interventions at the regional level. This role ensures the delivery of play‑based learning activities that align with national education priorities and organizational standards, while fostering strong collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination and delivery of project activities in line with approved plans, budgets and timelines.
  • Develop implementation plans, manage risks and address operational challenges using adaptive approaches.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with government bodies, education institutions, NGOs and local communities.
  • Provide technical support, coaching and mentoring to ensure high‑quality delivery of play‑based learning approaches.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement, joint planning and collaboration across partners and education systems.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL), including digital data systems, reporting and data quality assurance.
  • Promote accountability, community engagement and use feedback mechanisms to improve programming.
  • Represent the organization in coordination platforms and advocate for play‑based learning.
  • Support policy engagement and integration of learning through play into education systems and teacher development.
  • Document and share best practices, lessons learned and success stories.
  • Monitor partner budgets, review financial reports and ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in project management within education, humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Knowledge of play‑based learning methodologies and their application in schools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation and learning processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with governments, NGOs, communities and other partners.
  • Experience in financial oversight and budget monitoring.
