Pharmacist – Full‑time On‑site Position

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site pharmacist position in Addis Ababa involves dispensing prescription medications accurately, counseling patients, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, verify dosages, and dispense medications.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain detailed medication and patient records.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels and expiry dates, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare professionals to optimize therapy and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Pharmacy or higher) from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for licensure or registration as a Pharmacist in Ethiopia.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions, and medication safety.
• Effective communication and patient counseling skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems.
• Experience using electronic medical records.
