Research and Business Development Specialist I - Addis Ababa

About the role

Dashen Bank is looking for a Research and Business Development Specialist I in Addis Ababa. The specialist conducts qualitative or quantitative research to assess the feasibility of new market entry opportunities and the potential of different areas, and evaluates the local, regional and global economic, social, political and financial environment and its implications for the Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and initiate studies and evaluations to help the Bank maintain market leadership in deposits, foreign exchange, e-banking and credit services.
• Analyse business data and market information to give insight into business performance and suggest improvements to operations.
• Identify root causes of business challenges and propose effective solutions through research and business development work.
• Use trend analysis to forecast outcomes and adjust strategies to changing market conditions and customer behaviour.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• At least six years of relevant experience.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, adapt to change and act in a customer-centric, data-driven way.

Required skills

• Use of analytical tools and research methodologies to analyse business data and statistics.
• Root cause analysis and trend analysis.
• Data analysis and interpretation, and gathering market intelligence on competitors and industry trends.
