Planning Specialist

About the role

The Planning Specialist will coordinate and optimise material and production planning activities to ensure continuous finished‑goods production that matches market demand. The role focuses on timely procurement, inventory optimisation and minimising write‑offs, obsolescence and shelf‑life risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead material planning for NTM and Leaf, aligning material availability with production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP), updating BOM changes, lead times and inventory parameters.
• Drive purchase planning and order management, including timely PO placement and FOREX planning.
• Optimise order quantities and replenishment strategies to balance service levels, freight costs, inventory holding and obsolescence risks.
• Monitor material consumption versus BOM and adjust plans to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Manage material inventory levels, minimising ageing, expiry and shelf‑life risks.
• Upload and manage material plans in IBP, ensuring alignment across supply planning, procurement and production.
• Collaborate with procurement, production and demand planning teams for end‑to‑end supply‑chain alignment.
• Support production planning by converting material and supply plans into executable production schedules.
• Prepare and analyse daily and monthly inventory reports focusing on material performance and inventory health.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in planning processes and inventory optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in foreign purchasing, materials planning or related supply‑chain roles.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and coordinate across functions.

Required skills

• IBP (Integrated Business Planning) system proficiency.
