Project Sales Manager - Paints and Coatings

About the role

People First Consult is recruiting a Project Sales Manager on behalf of a confidential client, a leading international manufacturer of paints and coatings present in over 100 countries. The role drives market growth and sales performance, leads and develops the sales team, builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensures sales targets and collection goals are met.

Key responsibilities

• Drive market expansion and increase market share through market mapping, trend analysis and competitor monitoring.
• Lead, coach and supervise the sales team to achieve sales, collection and performance objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and evaluate sales targets, collections and team objectives, taking corrective action when needed.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by visiting customers, contractors, consultants and dealers to support projects and resolve issues.
• Analyse sales and collection performance, conduct employee reviews and coach the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in project sales within construction materials, paints and coatings, building products, steel, cement or related industries.
• Strong network within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of winning and managing large-scale projects.
• Fluent in Amharic and English.
