Sales Business Development - Logistics

About the role

Gerad Logistics PLC, a technology-driven logistics company connecting businesses, drivers and partners through a centralised digital platform, is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Business Development professional in Addis Ababa. The role identifies and pursues new business opportunities, generates qualified leads and builds a strong sales pipeline for logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential clients such as manufacturers, distributors, retailers and logistics companies, and build a pipeline of prospects through field visits, referrals and outreach
• Present the company's platform and its value, and run in-person or virtual product demonstrations explaining improved efficiency, tracking and cost management
• Build long-term client relationships, follow up with prospects, address concerns and coordinate with internal teams
• Close deals, onboard new clients and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Gather client feedback, share insights to improve products and sales approaches, and monitor competitors and market trends

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development or client-facing roles; B2B sales, business development or logistics experience is highly beneficial
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage business owners and decision-makers
• Self-motivated, target-driven and willing to work in the field
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work on-site in Addis Ababa and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
