Protection Officer - GBV & Protection Case Management Supervisor

About the role

The Protection Officer – GBV & PCM Supervisor will lead and oversee protection case management activities across the Mai‑Tsebri, Adi‑grat and Sheraro field offices. Reporting to the Protection Team Leader, the role ensures that case management services meet international standards, DRC SOPs and survivor‑centred approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Protection Assistant‑GBV and Protection Assistant‑PCM caseworkers.
• Supervise weekly case reviews, ensuring adherence to GBV and protection case management guidelines.
• Promote staff well‑being through regular debriefings and reflective practices.
• Support caseworkers in case identification, assessment, planning, intervention and follow‑up.
• Coordinate with the Protection Specialist‑Case Management and Protection Manager on complex cases.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with agencies, local governance structures and partners.
• Ensure proper documentation, quality assurance and compliance with monitoring standards.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, humanitarian studies, law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in protection, including GBV case management, preferably in humanitarian contexts.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with caseworkers.
• Strong knowledge of Inter‑Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines and DRC protection SOPs.
• Excellent communication, coordination and reporting skills.
