Sales and Marketing Specialist

About the role

The Sales and Marketing Specialist will drive market expansion for EcoGreen Organic Liquid Fertilizer and other company products. Based in Addis Ababa, this full‑time, on‑site position focuses on building customer relationships, generating new business, and achieving sales and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly sales and marketing plans aligned with corporate strategy.
• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across commercial farms, smallholder farmers, cooperatives, agro‑dealers, NGOs, government institutions, and private sector customers.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess customer needs, monitor competitor activity, and capture market trends.
• Organise product demonstrations, field days, farmer training, exhibitions, and promotional campaigns to increase product adoption.
• Promote products through direct sales, digital marketing, social media, trade fairs, and agricultural events.
• Maintain and strengthen long‑term relationships with customers, distributors, dealers, and strategic partners.
• Report on sales and marketing performance, provide market feedback, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the agricultural input sector.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new markets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
