Sales Associate

About the role

The Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Associate based in Ambo. The role engages clients and stakeholders to present the agency's products and services, including statistical reports, data products and related solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Answer client inquiries and provide product information
• Prepare quotations and process orders
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products
• Support outreach activities and help identify opportunities to grow the client base
• Track sales performance and support basic reporting

Required profile

• Able to provide clear, professional customer service and build long-term stakeholder relationships
• Strong communication skills, including confident verbal presentation and accurate written documentation
• Basic knowledge of sales processes such as lead follow-up, order handling and record keeping
• Comfortable working with data or reports, with attention to detail
• Organized and able to manage several tasks and deadlines on site
• Collaborative, able to work in a diverse, multidisciplinary team
• Diploma or degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics or a related field preferred; prior experience in sales, customer service or public-sector client engagement is an advantage

• Proficiency in common office software such as email, word processing and spreadsheets
• Willingness to learn agency-specific tools
