Senior Export Documentation Specialist

About the role

The Senior Export Documentation specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing all export paperwork to ensure compliant and timely shipments. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, shipping instructions, and other regulatory forms.
• Coordinate with logistics partners and customs brokers to guarantee on‑time shipment and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Maintain accurate records for audits, reporting, and internal system updates.
• Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies and communicate shipment status to clients and partners.
• Support junior staff on documentation standards and continuously improve procedures.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in export documentation processes and familiarity with Incoterms, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Amharic is a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP or cargo management systems for data entry and documentation.
