Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for procuring goods and services in line with MSH and donor policies, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery while maintaining accurate procurement data.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate procurement planning, maintain the pre‑qualified vendor database and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain and update the SharePoint Procurement Tracker, prepare offer analyses, and develop monthly procurement reports from QuickBooks Online.
• Conduct market research, verify price reasonableness, and manage the vendor pre‑qualification and review processes.
• Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and ensure compliance with donor and MSH procurement policies.
• Provide capacity building for team members on procurement procedures and monitor compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience (or Master’s with 4+ years, or Doctorate with 2+ years) in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
• Experience in USG or donor‑funded projects or NGOs preferred.
• Strong numeric skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SharePoint for document and tracker management.
• Intermediate skills in QuickBooks Online.
