Senior Finance Officer – Inventory & Stock Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer with deep expertise in inventory and stock accounting to become the financial backbone of our retail, warehouse, and export operations. The successful candidate will ensure that inventory records are accurate, stock movements are correctly costed, and financial statements reflect the true state of goods at every stage of the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory accounting records across warehouse, roastery, and retail locations.
• Perform regular stock reconciliations, identifying and resolving variances between physical counts and system records.
• Manage cost of goods sold calculations and inventory valuation methods.
• Track inventory movement across the full supply chain – raw material intake, production/roasting, retail distribution, and export.
• Prepare inventory‑related journal entries, month‑end close reports, and stock aging analysis.
• Coordinate with warehouse and retail teams to ensure proper stock control procedures and documentation.
• Support import/export cost accounting, including landed cost calculations, customs duties, and freight allocation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to inventory and stock levels.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate inventory documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accounting processes and reduce shrinkage/loss.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience with a focus on inventory or stock accounting.
• Proven experience in retail, warehouse, and stock management environments.
• Experience in an import/export company is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of inventory valuation methods, landed‑cost accounting, and reconciliation processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
