Social Policy Internship – 5 months in Addis Ababa

About the role

The Social Policy Intern will support UNICEF Ethiopia’s Social Policy Section in evidence generation and data analysis for cash transfer programmes over a five‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and organise quantitative and qualitative evidence for cash transfer programmes.
• Assist with desk‑based reviews of assessments, post‑distribution monitoring reports and programme documents.
• Summarise findings on vulnerability, inclusion and programme performance to inform internal analysis and planning.
• Contribute to donor, annual and programme reports related to social protection and equity.
• Document lessons learned, best practices and emerging evidence from ongoing pilots.
• Support the drafting of analytical outputs on cash transfer interventions.

Required profile

• Non‑Ethiopian national eligible for an international internship.
• Interest in social policy, cash transfer and social protection programmes.
