Support Service Team Leader

About the role

The Support Service Team Leader provides strategic leadership and coordination of Finance, Human Resources, Administration and Supply Chain functions for the DRC office in Debark, Ethiopia. This senior position ensures compliance with donor regulations, national legislation and DRC internal policies while delivering efficient support to programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Finance, HR, Administration and Supply Chain teams, including satellite office staff.
• Develop and monitor departmental work plans, conduct performance appraisals and coach staff.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management and donor financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with DRC financial procedures, donor regulations and statutory tax/social security obligations.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, contract administration and employee relations in line with DRC Global People Policy.
• Supervise administrative services, office facilities and coordination with Supply Chain for operational support.
• Direct procurement planning, tender processes and monitor Supply Chain key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multi‑functional support teams in an international or humanitarian setting.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, financial management and public sector HR regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop work plans, manage performance and foster staff well‑being.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills with a focus on accountability.
