AP MEAL Officer

About the role

The AP MEAL Officer supports programme development, monitoring, evaluation and accountability across the Area Programme. Working closely with the AP Manager and sectoral officers, the role ensures that project plans, budgets and reporting adhere to organisational standards and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate annual planning and budgeting in collaboration with finance, sponsorship and sector teams.
• Support design and implementation of programmes using LEAP, DPA, HORIZON and other strategic tools.
• Collect, analyse and synthesize data for AMR, SAR and other performance reports.
• Maintain detailed activity schedules and budget tracking systems for each project.
• Coordinate programme and project evaluations with MEAL, SSD and local stakeholders.
• Implement social and programme accountability frameworks and feedback mechanisms for beneficiary communities.

Required profile

• Experience in programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting within humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance and data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical officers, government partners and local communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data management and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring frameworks such as LEAP, DPA and HORIZON.
• Experience using WVsystems or similar reporting platforms.
