Business Analyst – Finance & Commercial Control

About the role

The Business Analyst will act as the key partner for the Marketing Manager, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution across sales, trade marketing and overall marketing initiatives. The role focuses on investment analysis, resource allocation optimisation and delivering insightful commercial management reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control commercial fixed and variable costs, including cost building and re‑forecasting within the governance process (AP & RoFo).
• Perform monthly variance analysis against plan and prior year, providing actionable insights.
• Support the use of accounts and cost centres, ensuring accurate and timely accruals and provisions.
• Maintain cost control, tracking, KPI follow‑up and commercial performance reporting for the marketing team.
• Drive commercial spend optimisation and develop monthly commercial fire‑power metrics.
• Implement regional CSP guidelines and brand role frameworks, identifying cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Plan and control marketing investment, including CAPEX planning, fund application processing and business case development.
• Monitor purchase contracts, allocate costs correctly and review monthly commercial cost accruals.
• Participate in ad‑hoc analysis requests within the Business Control Team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2‑4 years of experience in management accounting or controlling, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
