About the role
The World Food Programme is seeking a Field Monitoring Assistant to support the delivery of food and non‑food assistance in Semera, Ethiopia. Working under the supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will help ensure that assistance reaches beneficiaries safely and according to WFP standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct field monitoring visits to verify planned movements and distribution of food and non‑food items.
- Report any issues, incidents, or risks observed during monitoring activities.
- Perform food basket monitoring to confirm that the quantity and quality of assistance meet WFP standards.
- Maintain up‑to‑date monitoring records and documentation to support effective programme delivery.
Required profile
- Ethiopian national.
- Ability to work in field conditions and travel to remote locations.
- Basic understanding of humanitarian assistance and food security concepts.
