Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to establish and lead end‑to‑end logistics operations for a growing automotive distribution company in Ethiopia. The role covers the full spectrum of product movement, from international shipment planning and importation through customs clearance, warehousing, inventory control, and final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics processes, systems, controls and SOPs aligned with sales and inventory plans.
• Coordinate international shipments, manage Incoterms, shipping instructions and trade documentation.
• Track shipments from origin to final delivery and resolve delays or documentation issues.
• Handle import permits, customs clearance, duties, taxes and ensure accurate documentation for all import transactions.
• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory tracking, reconciliation and cycle‑counting for vehicles, spare parts and accessories.
• Plan and coordinate distribution of products to showrooms, dealers, service centres and customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, preferably within automotive or high‑value product distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian import and customs procedures.
• Ability to manage complex international freight operations and warehouse activities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on risk mitigation and cost optimisation.
