National Multisectoral and WASH Data Management Consultant

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Multisectoral and WASH Data Management Consultant to strengthen data architecture for WASH and related sectors across Ethiopia. The consultant will design, deploy and maintain integrated digital tools that support real‑time monitoring, evidence‑based planning and rapid emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize digital data collection tools for WASH interventions at national and sub‑national levels.
• Build and maintain online, remote‑access data management systems, ensuring real‑time data flow and secure handling.
• Conduct geospatial analysis and produce interactive dashboards, maps and visual reports for program monitoring and donor reporting.
• Ensure data quality, harmonisation and interoperability with UNICEF‑approved and government information systems.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to country office staff on data use for management, advocacy and emergency response.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s level) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in data management, information management or M&E, preferably within WASH or humanitarian contexts.
• Proven experience designing and managing GIS mapping and spatial analysis projects.
