About the role

Acclaro is looking for an experienced Senior Amharic Linguistic QA Tester to join its global linguistic community. You will work remotely on cutting‑edge software applications and AI models tailored for the Ethiopian market, ensuring high‑quality localized content.

Key responsibilities

• Execute linguistic QA on Amharic‑localized software interfaces and AI‑generated content, checking for linguistic, stylistic, and functional accuracy.
• Log and track linguistic errors, visual layout issues (truncations, rendering, font problems), and functional defects using standard issue‑tracking workflows.
• Enforce project glossaries, style guides, and brand‑specific localization standards.
• Validate cultural relevance and idiomatic precision of localized content for the Ethiopian audience.
• Collaborate with remote localization managers and QA leads, providing feedback and linguistic solutions in clear English.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in linguistic QA, software localization testing, proofreading, or professional translation (English → Amharic).
• Native fluency in Amharic with strong command of grammar, typography, and orthography.
• Professional‑level written English skills.
• Own a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M‑series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4 or newer); this is a mandatory technical requirement.
