Senior Event Assistant

About the role

The Senior Event Assistant will support the planning and execution of corporate, diplomatic, cultural and large‑scale events across Ethiopia. Working on a hybrid basis, you will split your time between on‑site event duties and remote coordination, ensuring seamless guest experiences and flawless event operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee usher teams and assist Protocol Officers during events.
• Manage guest flow, signage, seating arrangements and check‑in processes.
• Brief event staff, coordinate schedules and act as the main point of contact for clients and vendors.
• Monitor service standards, address guest inquiries and resolve on‑site issues.
• Maintain documentation, prepare post‑event summaries and suggest operational improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in event operations, preferably for corporate, diplomatic or large‑scale events.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Professional demeanor suitable for high‑profile clients and diplomatic settings.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as event schedules demand.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
