Decoration Materials Sales Representative

About the role

The Decoration Materials Sales Representative will work on‑site in Addis Ababa, promoting and selling a range of high‑quality decoration products to contractors, developers and individual buyers. The role focuses on generating new customers, presenting product benefits and delivering tailored solutions that match client budgets and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers, building a pipeline of sales opportunities.
• Present product features, benefits and recommend suitable decoration materials.
• Respond to inquiries, prepare accurate quotations and follow up on leads.
• Process orders, coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams, track deliveries and resolve any order‑related issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and monitor market trends and competitor offerings.
• Support sales targets through relationship building and after‑sales service.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to understand customer needs and interpret sales data.
• Experience in material handling and materials management.
• Proven sales or customer‑service background, preferably in construction or building finishes.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with diverse customers.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with sales or inventory software.
• Fluency in local languages and good working knowledge of English.
• Numerical aptitude for pricing and quotation preparation.
• Professional appearance, reliability and willingness to work on‑site and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
