Gender, Safeguarding & CARM Officer (DREAMS Program)

About the role

The Gender, Safeguarding and CARM Officer will lead the integration of gender equality, safeguarding and community accountability mechanisms within the DREAMS program in Dollo Ado, Ethiopia. This position supports the program’s aim to improve the well‑being of 100,000 refugees and host‑community members over five years.

Key responsibilities

• Mainstream gender, safeguarding and CARM across all project activities.
• Serve as the focal point for gender, safeguarding and community accountability initiatives.
• Provide technical support, coaching and capacity‑building to program teams and partners.
• Collaborate with partners to embed GESI considerations into interventions.
• Contribute to strategic planning and agency‑wide gender integration efforts.
• Support learning processes to enhance transformative GESI outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience working on gender, safeguarding or community accountability in humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and partners.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
