About the role
Vital Strategies is seeking a Government Relations Advisor for its Lead Poisoning Prevention Program in Africa, with a focus on Rwanda. The advisor will coordinate high‑level engagement with government partners, facilitate regional exchanges, and align program activities with national priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key government agencies and program partners across multiple African countries.
- Facilitate regional strategy development, knowledge exchange, and coordination among country teams.
- Represent Vital Strategies at regional events and support policy engagement on lead poisoning prevention.
- Provide regular updates on implementation progress and ensure alignment with global objectives.
- Collaborate with technical partners and consortium members to promote effective collaboration.
Required profile
- Experience in government relations, public‑health policy, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries and cultures.
- Strong communication and partnership‑building skills.
- Willingness to work from the Addis Ababa office on a hybrid schedule.
