Head of Sales – Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

People First Consult is recruiting a commercially driven Head of Sales for a leading industrial manufacturing company in Ethiopia. The role will lead the sales function, drive revenue growth, and expand market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue, volume, and market share targets.
• Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve commercial objectives.
• Expand market coverage, distribution channels, and customer portfolios.
• Build strong relationships with distributors, contractors, developers, retailers, and institutional customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales Management, Business Administration, or related field (master's preferred).
• At least 8 years of sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high‑performing sales teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, building materials, construction‑related products, or industrial sales.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
