Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing (Mek'ele)

About the role

Selam Terranite Factory is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Engineer to join its on‑site team in Mek'ele. You will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the mechanical systems that drive our high‑quality Terranite tile production.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and equipment for tile manufacturing.
• Improve existing production machinery using machine design principles and CAD tools.
• Lead research and development projects aimed at process enhancements.
• Plan and manage engineering projects, aligning schedules and resources with production timelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure optimal machinery performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in industrial mechanical engineering, preferably in tile or building‑materials manufacturing.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
