Social Media Manager

About the role

The Social Media Manager will join Kerchanshe Group’s dynamic team in Ethiopia, leading the planning, creation, and publishing of content across all major social platforms. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on strengthening the group’s brand presence and driving audience engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage editorial calendars, schedule posts, and ensure consistent brand voice.
• Monitor performance metrics, generate regular reports, and recommend optimisation tactics.
• Engage with audience comments and messages, maintaining professional and inclusive communication.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with cross‑functional campaigns.
• Stay up‑to‑date with platform updates, trends, and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong background in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO).
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging copy.
• Experience planning and executing targeted social media campaigns.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multi‑sector environment.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is an advantage.
