Assistant Manager - Banking

About the role

Zemen Bank S.C., a private bank in Ethiopia offering multi-channel banking services, is hiring a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager in Addis Ababa. The role supports branch or departmental leadership in overseeing daily operations, ensuring service quality and maintaining compliance with banking policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff activities and monitor performance and customer service standards
• Assist in resolving complex customer issues
• Contribute to business development initiatives
• Analyze operational and financial reports
• Support the implementation of technology-based banking solutions
• Collaborate with senior management to improve efficiency, manage risk and uphold service and ethical standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage
• Relevant experience in banking or financial services, including supervisory responsibilities, is highly beneficial
• Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
