Education Evaluation Technical Consultant

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the transition of the Access to Education output into a programme approach in Ethiopia. The role involves organising stakeholder workshops, finalising evaluation reports and drafting transition plans.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate a high‑level workshop with government, donors and partners to gather input on the draft evaluation report.
• Present education components of the EU Education Project at the dissemination workshop.
• Review, finalise and incorporate the evaluation report into the EU donor reporting package.
• Coordinate with education teams (Country Office and Field Office) to provide technical inputs for the upcoming Access to Education evaluation.
• Maintain communication with donors, government and partners throughout the evaluation process.
• Draft a project‑to‑programme management and upstream transition plan for Access to Education Output 2.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences, education or a related field.
• Minimum three years of project coordination experience.
• At least three years of experience working with EU grants.
• Experience collaborating with UN agencies.
• Fluency in English; Amharic is desirable.
