EHS Manager

About the role

The Environment, Health and Safety Specialist works under the general direction of the Factory Manager, with a company-wide scope covering the AA office and the second warehouse in AA ('23), while focusing mainly on the factory and the expansion project. The role establishes a system to eliminate hazards and protect employees and the environment, integrates with existing Pepsico systems and standards, and builds a safety culture across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce PepsiCo and local EHS rules, standards and procedures, and revise compliance systematically to reflect changes and share good practices
• Introduce, sustain and improve the EHS management system in line with production processes, using TPM methodology
• Develop and deliver EHS training, mentor EHS professionals and line managers, and coach employees toward behavioral change
• Build relationships with external stakeholders and engage line management and employees in accountability and compliance
• Perform and manage EHS audits and inspections, lead high-risk audit teams, and issue recommendations
• Collect, report, analyze and monitor EHS performance data to support decisions
• Environment: drive ISO 14001 compliance, ensure independent effluent testing, promote a zero-waste mindset, and identify sustainability projects
• Health: improve staff health based on OHS survey results, develop an action plan to close gaps, and raise awareness of ergonomics
• Safety: identify hazards, evaluate and prioritize risks, perform accident analysis, and coach line management in risk assessment and incident investigations

Required profile

• Degree or above in Health and Safety, Chemical or Industrial Engineering; NEBOSH IGC is desirable but not mandatory
• 7 years' experience in EHS, including at least 3 years as EHS manager or equivalent in a fast-paced retail or FMCG industry
• Experience communicating, delivering training and presenting reports to groups including senior management

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is an advantage
• Practical knowledge of Safety Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and safety pillars is desirable
• Ability to use MS Office applications
