Finance Manager

About the role

Dukamo Coffee is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to lead its finance team. The role involves overseeing budgeting, reporting, cash management, and day‑to‑day accounting while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Monitor budget performance and deliver variance analysis.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships and optimise working capital.
• Oversee payments, collections and fund transfers.
• Supervise day‑to‑day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, Ethiopian tax laws and internal policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
• Analyse operational costs, identify savings and implement expense‑control procedures.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance and accounting staff.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Implement and maintain accounting/ERP systems and streamline financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of finance experience, including 3‑5 years in a finance manager role.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial reporting standards and audit procedures.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
• Experience with ERP systems.
