Fund Management and Private sector Investment Advisor - FRESHWAY Project

About the role

SNV is seeking a Fund Management and Private Sector Investment Advisor to lead the establishment and administration of the Innovation Fund and associated grant scheme for the four‑year FRESHWAY project in Ethiopia. The role will support the development of a sustainable horticulture logistics ecosystem by linking private investment with policy reform and capacity building.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and manage the Innovation Fund, including grant allocation processes.
• Assess business plans and financial proposals from agribusinesses, aggregation hubs and cold‑chain operators.
• Ensure donor compliance, reporting and financial monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical advice to the Ethiopian Agricultural Authority on food‑safety standards and post‑harvest management.
• Facilitate market integration by supporting private‑sector led aggregation hubs and export promotion activities.

Required profile

• Degree in agribusiness, agricultural economics, logistics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience managing or supporting grants in agri‑food systems.
• Strong understanding of horticulture value chains, including aggregation, cold‑chain logistics and transport.
• Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, business‑plan assessment and donor compliance.
