Mobile Health and Nutrition Nurse

About the role

The Mobile Health and Nutrition Nurse will deliver integrated health and nutrition services to vulnerable communities in Habru Woreda, North Wollo, Amhara Region. The role involves clinical care, health education, and coordination with local health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide IMNCI/ICCM consultations, child immunizations, maternal and child health services, and nutrition support according to national guidelines.
• Facilitate the supply of essential medicines, therapeutic products, and health education materials to the mobile team and selected health facilities.
• Prepare weekly movement plans, organize reports on OTP, EPI, health education and consultations, and ensure accurate referral linkages.
• Train and mentor Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and nurses, and support capacity‑building activities at health posts, centers and hospitals.
• Represent the project in local coordination platforms and ensure compliance with budget and donor requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Public Health.
• Minimum 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in a CMAM or mobile health and nutrition program.
• Experience in maternal and child health clinical settings.

Required skills

• Knowledge and experience in CMAM, SAM management and IMNCI/ICCM.
• Technical skills in case management of childhood and adult illness, safe motherhood, and health education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and spoken English and local language communication.
