Mobile Health and Nutrition Officer (Team Leader)

About the role

The Mobile Health and Nutrition Team (MHNT) Lead will plan, coordinate and monitor integrated mobile health and nutrition services in Habru woreda, ensuring quality primary health care and nutrition delivery in line with national guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor mobile health and nutrition activities, including weekly movement plans and site selection.
• Provide daily adult medical consultations at outreach sites and oversee basic health services such as IMNCI/ICCM, safe motherhood, emergency care, referral, health education and EPI.
• Facilitate the supply of essential drugs, therapeutic products and training for health workers, and ensure proper referral linkages with health facilities.
• Mentor health extension workers, conduct on‑site training, and ensure availability of job aids and reporting tools.
• Monitor team performance against plans, complete quality monitoring checklists and report clinical scorecards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Public Health.
• Minimum three years of experience, with at least two years in CMAM programs and mobile health/nutrition.
• Experience in clinical settings, especially maternal and child health.

Required skills

• Knowledge and experience in CMAM, SAM management and IMNCI/ICCM.
• Technical skills in case management of childhood and adult illnesses and safe motherhood.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal communication.
