Project Procurement Manager

About the role

The Project Procurement Manager leads end‑to‑end procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary supply‑chain advisor to project stakeholders. The role ensures that goods, equipment and subcontractor services are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing, negotiation and contracting for project‑related purchases.
• Identify, qualify and manage suppliers, handling RFPs and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Coordinate handover of documents to transit teams and manage clearance of imported items from ports.
• Oversee receipt of goods, warehouse handover and generation of GRNs.
• Supervise settlement of payments to suppliers, including banks, freight, transport, insurance, taxes, duties and clearing services.
• Coach and develop the procurement team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill building.

Required profile

• BA/MA/MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 7+ years (MA) or 9+ years (BA) of experience in procurement, subcontracts or supply‑chain management.
• At least 2 years in a project‑based procurement management role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Supervisory and leadership experience.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations.
