Senior Accountant - Import & Export

About the role

Dololo Import and Export Plc is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its team in Addis Ababa. The role covers financial reporting, compliance with regulations and accurate financial reporting to support management decisions. The gross salary range is 35,000 to 45,000.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including reconciliations, cash flow analyses, balance sheets and financial utilization reports.
• Prepare annual financial statements (statement of financial position, profit and loss, statement of cash flows) for shareholders, tax authorities and financiers.
• Ensure VAT, withholding tax, employee income tax and annual profit tax are settled on time.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management on strategy and growth.
• Facilitate the annual external audit and design KPI dashboards and financial monitoring tools.
• Advise the CEO, General Manager and Board on financial sustainability and expansion.
• Liaise with banks, auditors and government agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• At least 3 years in a senior finance position, ideally in trading, logistics or import/export.
• In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations and procurement rules.
• Minimum 4 years of financial management experience.
• Chartered Accountant or CIA certification, or risk management certifications, preferred.

Required skills

• Accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, IFRS, Sage or SAP.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Attention to detail and effective teamwork.
