Accountant – QuickBooks Pro (Onsite)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to become the financial backbone of our fast‑paced team in Addis Ababa. The role combines daily bookkeeping with administrative coordination, ensuring smooth operations for our U.S. client base.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks (online or desktop).
• Process accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations and track expenses.
• Generate and send invoices, record payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors and internal teams via phone and email.
• Support scheduling, calendar management and last‑minute changes.
• Coordinate financial and administrative tasks across multiple stakeholders.
• Monitor task progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies in real time.

Required profile

• Fluent, clear English with confidence on client calls.
• Ability to handle urgent financial tasks quickly and accurately.
• Proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of work.
• Comfortable working autonomously without constant supervision.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (online or desktop) – proficient level.
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive).
• Microsoft Excel – intermediate (pivot tables, formulas).
• Project‑management tools such as ClickUp, Trello or Asana.
• Communication platforms: Slack, WhatsApp, Zoom.
• Strong phone communication abilities.
